MacLaren History
MacLaren manufacturers are at the top of the world ladder in baby|infant transport. The invention of the baby buggy began way back in 1965, when Owen MacLaren, a former test pilot and aeronautical designer, designed and patented the first lightweight pushchair in the U.K. His inspiration to create an alternative to the conventional pram came about while wheeling his grandchild around in what he felt was a clumsy contraption. His engineering experience in aeronautics was the spur for him to design a structure that would be lighter, have a folding mechanism that was collapsible like an umbrella and therefore easy to operate. He set about creating the 1st baby buggy using tubular aluminium and a three dimensional folding mechanism. The MacLaren buggy weighed just 6 lbs. Today, the MacLaren brand is famous worldwide with a market in over 50 countries. MacLaren's major export markets include places such as the U.S., Europe, Australia, Chile, the Middle East, New Guinea, etc. When parents seek out baby products they find at the top of the list the name MacLaren.

Safety Advice
MacLaren company's instructions on assembly, care and use of their products should always be adherred to. When using a stroller, ensure that latches are fully engaged prior to use. Children have been injured when strollers appear to be fully set up yet collapse when they hit a bump. Don't overload. Always use restraints in the manufacturer's recommended use position. When using a carriage or a buggy in a fully reclined position for an infant, make sure there are no openings a child could slip fully or partially through. Never leave a child unattended in a stroller. When folding or unfolding a buggy|stroller, please keep children away to avoid pinched fingers.
